Under the vision of digital India, IRCTC takes a step further towards prepaid digital wallet and has introduced its first online prepaid card cum wallet, iMudra wallet. It provides users with several facilities like user authentication and easy refunds. IRCTC’s iMudra prepaid card allows users to book tickets hassle free, shop online and send easy money to your friends and family.

This online prepaid card provides customers the convenience of accessing their wallet on mobile app, desktop and tablet. This iMudra digital wallet also comes with a physical and virtual card. It means, whether you are purchasing goods/services online or offline it is done in an utterly smooth and secure way..

Here are some details which you need to know about iMudra before you start using it.

First of all you must sign-up for IRCTC iMudra wallet, for that you have to visit the IRCTC iMudra website. Simply click on “Sign-Up” button and fill all the required details. To complete your sign up process you will be required to verify your mobile number through OTP.

After registering, you will get a virtual card. This card is just like any other physical card that can be used in the same way as you can use your physical card to make payment.

iMudra is also an online prepaid card which means you can use this card for all online transactions. Registered users can also have one physical card which they receive after paying 200 rupees whereas users are charged Rs 10 for the virtual card. There is no fee for card activation.

Users must know that the first three transactions in a month from Visa enabled Bank ATM are not chargeable. The subsequent transactions will be charged at Rs 20 plus applicable taxes. Besides this non visa ATMs transactions will also be charged at 20 rupees plus applicable taxes.

The monthly wallet limit is 10,000 rupee and for KYC verified users, monthly limit is 1,00,000.
